Schoolhouse slams council ignorance

Schoolhouse meets Executive and SCCYP
Thursday, 25th January 2007 | Law & Policy | Older News | SchoolhouseSchoolhouse representatives today met informally with the Scottish Executive team who are co-ordinating the guidance review to discuss a number of key aspects which will be included in its formal response. The Schoolhouse representatives then went on to meet with Scotland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People (SCCYP), Kathleen Marshall, to discuss children’s rights issues in respect of home educated children.
Glasgow home education seminar

Organised by the Scottish Consumer Council (SCC) to coincide with the Scottish Executive’s consultation review of the home education guidance and to inform its own forthcoming report, the event was chaired by SCC Chairman Douglas Sinclair.
