The Schoolhouse Committee is acutely aware that the appearance of our two publications, Schoolhouse Home Education News and Schoolhouse Times, has been not only less regular but also less frequent than expected. We could blame it all on the fact that the Conference took up everyone's time, and that would be largely true for recent issues, but other factors have played a part as well.

At a recent meeting of the Committee, therefore, it was decided that we shall have to reassess the position with regard to producing two quarterly printed publications; this will be done as a part of a reorganisation that the Committee will be undertaking in the near future.

In the interim, because we have not been able to produce them, it was decided that we should offer all subscribers a refund for their last year's subscriptions. Subscribers will be contacted individually by the Schoolhouse Treasurer.

This is not the end of Schoolhouse publications – there will be a Conference Report to accompany the DVD. We are also actively looking at possibilities for the future, possibly all–electronic, now that all but a handful of people are able to access the Internet, either at home, at their local library, or at an Internet cafe.
