Equality and Human Rights case service    Govan Law Centre

Govan Law Centre’s Education Law Unit, supported by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, runs a case service for children and young people in education in Scotland who have been discriminated against or whose human rights have been breached

The service offers help for children or young people in education (or their parents) and covers both Human Rights and Discrimination based on

  • Gender
  • Race
  • Disability
  • Sexual orientation
  • Religious belief

It covers home educated children and young people as well as school pupils. The project would be particularly interested to hear from anyone who has been refused permission to home educate and feels that this was discrimination on the grounds of race, sex, religion, disability, sexual orientation etc.
